what i find amazing is that the west expects Ukraine to single-handedly take down russia -- to oppose which NATO was in fact conceived. do you really think after Ukraine wins we will need NATO? or we would ask for permission to reinstate our nuclear program? like, literally - _why_ would we?

ps.

all the west's hand wringing over possible nuclear attack looks extremely hypocritic -- taking into account the support (and arms) it provides to Israel which uses it to attack russian bases in Middle East -- with no nuclear attacks so far.

The point of no return was in my opinion passed on the day Kherson and Zaporozhzhia were annexed. Once these territories became formally a part of Russia, it is hard to imagine that Putin would agree to withdraw from them. And Ukraine of course cannot agree to an agreement that would require them to withdraw from a large chunk of territory that they control even today.

Ukraine lacks the resources, manpower, willpower, or military competence to keep fighting successfully. Russia can't keep it up forever but they don't have to. It's a no win situation ending in surrender, partition, and an accelerated Weimar period for Ukraine or total occupation/vassalization after the front collapses

Lot of unexamined assumptions crammed into that paragraph.

As the front collapses and Ukrainian men become scarcer, do you have anything to say?

As the "Victory Plan" has been rejected, do you have anything to say?

Yes, I do have something to say: The West should do its job and give Ukraine the weapons and leeway it is asking for, unless and until it says it is ready to do a deal. Otherwise, Western countries are risking exactly the sort of outcomes I warn about toward the end of my essay: (1) A Ukraine unbound, fighting by methods which will backfire on the West, or (2) an insurrection that continues the war against Russia. Really, I'm not sure how you think any of these recent events undermine my point (and, sorry, but the front is not "collapsing").

You expect people who have to be kidnapped off the street to go fight are gonna resist of their own accord?

Western aid wont make a difference, and all the "Tankies" are gonna be proven right when this war ends with a shattered nation full of heavily armed fascists screaming for vengeance. Ine of which would have happened without Maidan which, even of you discount the false flag stuff, was useless for the cause of Ukrainian working people or independence

You're typing here like you have served in a military for 20 years, and not like an armchair anonymous troll who has never been to Russia or Ukraine, nor could find Ukraine on the map without google it in 2021.
